ONE of the district's longest-running charity golf events has raised £4,000 in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
The Rotary Club of Tynedale's 28th annual golf day attracted more than 120 players, who took to the fairways at Prudhoe Golf Club.
As in previous years, the event was well supported by local businesses, who offered sponsorship, and a wealth of prizes.
The Rotary club's president, Celia Leach, said: "We would like to offer our thanks to all of the local businesses and individuals who contributed to the success of the day by donating sponsorship, raffle prizes, as well as their time and effort in helping on the day.
"Without you all, the day would not have been so successful. We are so glad everyone had a great day's golf."
