ALLENDALE Cricket Club are set to mark their debut season in the Northumberland and Tyneside League with a cup final.

They defeated Civil Service on Tuesday in the semi-finals of the Birkett Cup , setting up a final against either Whickham or Ashington Rugby.

Allendale were 107 all out, with skipper Tim Raglan scoring 58 runs, and Jasper Gray adding 23.

Oliver Scott took 4-20 as Civil Service were all out for 95.

The final is expected to take place next Wednesday evening.

Allendale, who won the West Tyne League Division One title in 2017, moved their first team into the Northumberland and Tyneside League for the start of the current season.

They are fourth in Division Four after 15 games, with 225 points.

Allendale will return to league action on Saturday, when they will travel to Newcastle City II in Division Four.

Allendale’s second team, which competes in the West Tyne League Division Two, will host Stocksfield IV on Saturday.
