TEENAGE cricket star Lizzie Scott has achieved a unique double in less than a week.
The teenager attended a regional development centre (RDC) festival at Shrewsbury School in Shropshire, where she represented Durham Cricket RDC.
The Matfen youngster scored 113, and was later selected to play for the England women’s academy team at Surrey, in a match against an ICC women’s global development side.
Playing against opponents from across the world, including Pakistan captain Javeira Khan, Scott batted at number five in the first of two T20 games, and hit the winning runs to finish on 15 not out.
It comes just weeks after Scott took 6-5 while representing Northumberland U15 against a strong Yorkshire side, clean bowling five of her victims in the match at Blagdon Park.
