A TEENAGE martial arts star from the district has scooped a hat-trick of world titles.
Prudhoe's Callum Beeckmans (15) won gold medals in three different categories at the World Kickboxing Organisation (WKO) Open World Championships, at the weekend.
Competing in the 15-16 age group, the youngster excelled in kickboxing, full contact kickboxing, and in the ultimate fighter contest.
Beeckmans also won a K1 kickboxing silver medal, and two boxing silver medals at the event.
Proud dad Mark said: "He's been absolutely brilliant. Callum had a lot to do competing in so many categories, but he put on a great show."
