With the derby match between leaders Stocksfield III and Stocksfield IV cancelled, second-placeWark stamped their authority with victory over Clara Vale in Division Two.

A solid 64 from G. Stephenson helped them finish on 182-8, despite the efforts of bowlers Ankush Kumar (3-35), Avtar Dhillon (2-22), and Jonny Lodge 2-26.

In reply, Clara Vale were all out for 104. Kumar top scored with 21.

Haltwhistle II won by five wickets at home to Medomsley. The Swordsmen were all out for 90. Top scorer Jake Slane was 90 not out.

Ben Cousins (10-4) enjoyed a four-wicket haul, while Andy Wrightson (2-27) picked up two wickets.

Callum Snowdon was 32 not out as Haltwhistle II reached 91-5.

John Welch scored 52 as Allendale II were home winners over Mitford II.

The visitors finished on 125, with Martin McKenna scoring 45. Jake Reed took 4-20.

In reply, Welch’s half century helped Allendale on their way to a total of 128-8.

Mitford bowlers Lawrence Park (3-14) and McKenna (3-16) impressed.

On Sunday, Matfen defeated Haltwhistle by seven wickets in the Division One Knock-out Cup. Visitors Haltwhistle were restricted to 88-9, with two wickets apiece for Aaron Tiffin and Justin Dempsey, and a superb four-wicked haul from Kelly Withycombe. Connor O’Leary continued his good form, scoring 35 not out, as Matfen reached 90-3.
