Talia Thompson was third in the 3kg hammer (25.28m).

Lewis Cant was also a winner for the second successive week, with a run of 11.43s in the intermediate boys’ 100m.

In the 200m, Josh McKeown (23.74s) was the winner, while Dale Turner (52.44s) was runner-up in the 400m. Ben Waterfield (2m.78s) was an 800m winner, while Ethan McGlen (8m 55.93s) was the 3,000m winner.

In the 1,500m, Rowan Bennett (4m 15.80s) was second. Northumberland secured top three places in the 1,500m steeplechase 91.4cm race.

Oliver Telfer (5m75s) was second, and Thomas Stutt (5m 36.00s) was third. Ben Evans (15.38s) was second in the 100m hurdles, and Alfie Ward (15.79) was third. Ward was also a long jump winner (5.88m).

In the 400m hurdles, Exodus Guangul (63.05) finished ahead of Northumberland teammate Jared Flannery (78.83).

In the 4x100m relay, the Northumberland quartet of Lewis Cant, Josh McKeown, Dale Turner and Daniel Lennie were winners. Jonah Schroeder (2.20) was victorious in the pole vault. In the 5kg shot putt, James Wordsworth (13.89) earned second place, while Sam Jolly (43.40m) was third in the 700g javelin.

In the 1.5kg discuss, James Wordsworth (45.50) was first, and David Sanderson (32.81) was third.

There was also double success for Isabelle Potier Godinho, in the high jump and pole vault, and Oliver Lewis in both 110m hurdles, and 400m hurdles.

Northumberland won the junior girls’ category with 127.5 points, the junior boys’ with 140.5 points, the intermediate girls’ with 170 points, and the intermediate boys’ with 185. The English Schools Track & Field championships will take place at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, on July 12 and 13.
