TEENAGE rugby star Tom Marshall was named in the Scotland squad in all three games of their U20 World Championship campaign in Argentina.
The back row made his debut for the thistle U20 in their opening fixture, a 43-19 defeat against South Africa, on June 4.
The Newcasle Falcons player, who played for Tynedale on a dual contract basis last season, was an unused substitute in the 52-33 reverse against New Zealand on Saturday.
He started on Wednesday afternoon, as Scotland got off to a good start against Georgia. But despite their 7-0 lead at half time, the Scots slipped to a 17-12 defeat, and did not progress to the knock-out stages.
Marshall was one of several young Falcons who played for Tynedale on a dual contract basis last season.
Meanwhile, Tynedale have announced their pre-season programme, which will kick off on Tuesday, August 13, with an away match against Morpeth. For the full programme visit https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/tynedalerugbyfootballclub.
