TEENAGE rugby star Tom Marshall made his debut for Scotland U20 on Tuesday.
The Newcasle Falcons player, who played for Tynedale on a dual contract basis last season, was part of Scotland’s back row on the opening day of the U20 World Championship in Argentina.
The match ended in a 43-19 defeat for the Scots, as the Junior Boks ran in three late tries to secure victory at Rosario’s Racecourse Stadium.
The Thistle will hope to do better in their remaining Pool C matches, as they bid to qualify for the knock-out stages.
Scotland will take on New Zealand on Saturday at 7.30pm (GMT), and Georgia on Wednesday at 2.30pm (GMT).
Marshall was one of several young Falcons who played for Tynedale on a dual contract basis last season.
