GOLFER Chris Paisley has continued his impressive form on the European Tour.

The former Stocksfield junior made a blistering start to the Belgian Knockout event, at Rinkven International Golf Club in Antwerp.

His two opening rounds of 65 on Thursday and Friday saw Paisley top the 64-man strokeplay leaderboard at 12-under-par, one stroke ahead of Swede Anton Karlsson.

Paisley defeated fellow Englishman Sam Horsfield in the first round of the knock-out matchplay stages, before losing to France's European Tour stalwart Grégory Havret in the last 32.

Havret went on to reach the semi-finals, where he lost to Dutchman Darius Van Driel.

The young Italian Guido Migliozzi lifted the title, after defeating Van Driel by four strokes in Sunday's final.

Paisley's impressive display in Belgium came a week after he finished sixth at the Made In Denmark event, at the Himmerland Golf & Spa resort, with rounds of 68, 71, 71, and 65.
