TYNEDALE Ladies Cricket Club have posted an impressive start to their debut season.

The first team got off to a flying start as they defeated West Scotland Cricket Club in ECB Club T20 earlier this month. Tynedale left it until the final over to reach the 83 target with four balls remaining.

In their first game in the Northumberland Women’s Cricket League, an impressive 73 from Jade Makarsi and 68 from Amy Radcliffe helped defeat Newcastle by three wickets at Priors Flat.

In their second game, a spirited team performance and 60 not out from Amy Radcliffe wasn’t enough against Corbridge as Tynedale fell 20 runs short of a win. Tynedale currently sit third in the table out of seven.
