A ROB Howorth goal secured the league and cup double for Heddon St Andrew's.

His strike 10 minutes from time was the difference as they defeated league newcomers Riding Mill 1-0 in the final of the Division Two KO Cup, again relegating their opponents to second spot just as they did to clinch the Division Two title.

Helping his side keep the opposition out, Heddon defender Connor Ballantyne was named man of the match.

Despite ending empty-handed, it has been an impressive debut season for Mill after gaining promotion to Division One and reaching a cup final.

Crawcrook Social Club ended the campaign in third spot in Division Two behind both Heddon and Riding Mill as they rounded their season off with a thumping 14-1 victory over bottom club Rose and Crown Bellingham.

Man of the match Jack Henderson led the way with seven goals and Reece Hepple helped himself to a brace, while Josh Banks, Kieron Priestley, Davey Wright, Adam Taylor and Jack Thompson also registered.
