AN unbeaten run of performances from Hexham Santos U7 saw them lift the Tynedale Mini Soccer League’s Abbey Division Trophy.
Eight teams competed at Prudhoe High School in the tournament.
Hexham’s unbeaten route to victory was aided by their trusty defence, which only conceded one goal in the group stage.
The team played out an entertaining, yet nail-biting, semi-final against Haydon Bridge, when the winning goal was decided by a golden goal.
The final, between Hexham Santos and Throckley Magpies, was a fiercely competitive affair with only one goal settling the final result. Isaac Knox scored the deciding goal after good work from Auryn Bell forced a rebound off the keeper.
