LESS than a year after they reached the National Colts Cup final, Tynedale's young rugby stars have demonstrated their undoubted talent yet again.
Tynedale Colts lifted the Northumberland County Cup with a 39-27 win over Percy Park, in the final at Newcastle Falcons' Kingston Park.
Their performance saw them named Team of the Week.
Canoeist Anna-Louise Glendenning had to sit out much of last year's season due to an elbow injury.
Now back on the water, Anna-Louise competed for England in the Pan Celtic Race at Grandtully in Scotland, finishing second in her race against opponents from other home nations.
Her performance saw Anna-Louise named Star of the Week.
A special mention goes to Allan Murray, the 62-year-old Humshaugh cricketer who has announced his retirement on the eve of the cricket season.
The opening bat has been a key member of Humshaugh's team for almost three decades, and was their leading run scorer last year, as Humshaugh won a league and cup double.
