STAR man Adam Greenwood had a hand in all three goals as Prudhoe YC Seniors cruised to a 3-0 victory at Seaton Burn.

The Seniors got off to a good start in the Northern Alliance Division One encounter, with an impressive run and cross from Greenwood on 10 minutes deflected into the path of Jack Bell, who was on hand to give Prudhoe the lead.

Five minutes later it was 2-0. Running the channels once again, striker Greenwood cut in from the left and supplied the ammunition for Ben Bloomer to score.

Prudhoe were in confident mood throughout, and wrapped up the points on 80 minutes, when Matty Robinson’s thunderous free kick from 25 yards went in off the underside of the crossbar to make it 3-0 to the visitors.

Greenwood was named man of the match for his contribution.

It’s a big month for Prudhoe, who are currently seventh in the league table.

Last night, Prudhoe were set to host Blyth Town in another league match, and they will travel to Gosforth Bohemians on Saturday.

On Thursday, April 25, the Seniors and their followers will hit the road again, when they travel to Birtley Town in Gateshead, to take on Cullercoats in the final of the Team Valley Carpets Combination Cup.

Prudhoe booked their place in the final following a 5-1 win over Seaton Burn in February.

The cup final, on April 25, will kick off at 7pm.
