Both Heddon St Andrew's and Riding Mill will be playing Division One football next season after confirming promotion at the weekend.

But it was Heddon celebrating a return to the top division as champions as they thumped third-placed Ryton Michelangelo's 7-0, with man of the match Will Hedley leading the way with four goals.

Connor Ballantyne, Sean Hownam and Rob Howorth were also on target, while Jada James starred for a hard-working Ryton.

League newcomers Riding Mill have been promoted as runners-up in their first season as goals from Dale Dodds, Jamie Peel, Regan Robinson and Josh Maclennan, as well as a man of the match display from Ian Rogerson, secured a 4-1 victory over Crawcrook Social Club. Reece Hepple replied and Josh Banks was man of the match for Crawcrook.

Division One runners-up Hexham Phoenix finished with a 4-0 triumph over Barrasford as Dan Burns scored twice and Luke Parkinson and Callum Duncan once each. Brad Rowell was man of the match with Gary Pigg earning the hosts' award.

Title-winning Bardon Mill Bowes Lyons made the final of the John Pickworth Cup as they put five without reply past Division Two side Hexham Hearts.

Man of the match Dan Kirkup hit a hat-trick and Ricky Hayes and Thomas Wilkie also notched, with Matthew Herdman starring for Hearts.

Goals from star man Billy Rogan and Stu Sproul saw Haltwhistle Railway to a 2-0 win over Hexhamshire in the R&R Hands Trophy. Josh Dodwell impressed for Shire.
