HEXHAM Squash Club’s first team enjoyed an impressive 4-1 win over Washington.
The victory ensured their survival in Northumbria Division One for another season. The team performance included strong 3-1 individual wins for Damon Watts, Joe Anderson and Paul Satow.
Tom Ewen took a 2-0 lead against the experienced Erik Mok.
He was pegged back to 2-2 but edged an epic final game to win.
A win for Hexham in their final match of the season against Jesmond could see them finish fifth in the league table.
Hexham’s second team have struggled with injuries, and they lost 3-2 against Newbiggin II.
There was a standout performance from Kristen McKluskey, who beat the experienced Ron Freeman 3-0 with a multitude of impressive shots.
The club is a thriving organisation for both senior and junior players, who recently contested the Dave Cave Memorial Trophy.
