NEWTON have enjoyed some impressive results in the Northumbria Table Tennis League.
In Division One, the Newton A team enjoyed an 8-2 win over Cramlington Tigers. John Russell scored three points, Graeme Bell and David Lucas scored two apiece, while Russell and Bell combined in the doubles to add a further point.
Newton A were also 6-4 victors over Brandon Anacondas. The scorers were Bell (3), Russell (2), Bell and Russell (1).
A third win for Newton A saw them defeat Tyneside A 6-4. The point scorers for Newton were Russell (3), Lucas (2), Russell and Lucas (1).
Newton B were 8-2 winners over Cramlington Cobras in Division Three. John Henderson and Tom Manuel scored three points each, with Ian Armstrong adding a solitary point. Henderson and Manuel combined for a further point.
Newton C lost 9-1 against Tyneside C in Division Four, with John Morgan registering their point.
