ARCHER Allison Kelly was successful at the Stafford competition at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea.
The Prudhoe woman won gold in the ladies’ barebow competition, and in doing so, broke her own county record by 56 points.
Allison was representing the Riverside Archers team, based at Thorpe Academy, Ryton, which enjoyed a clean sweep in the competition, with Tracey Leverett winning silver, and Caitlin Leverett bronze.
In the men’s barebow competition, David Leverett won silver.
Allison said: “It was a great day, and an awesome team performance. We also had Lynn Young winning ladies longbow and David Shearer the men’s longbow.”
Two weeks ago, Allison won the 51st Durham and Northumberland County Indoor Championships.
The event also saw Lynn and David win individual county longbow trophies.
The Riverside team, which also included Ann Lee, picked up the county team trophy.
