TWO sporting legends have raised more than £50,000 in aid of a charity set up by former rugby star Doddie Weir.
Ex-Scotland rugby captain Rob Wainwright and record breaking cyclist Mark Beaumont cycled 500 miles from Scotland’s national rugby stadium, Murrayfield, to Twickenham, ahead of last Saturday’s Calcutta Cup clash between England and Scotland, in the Six Nations.
Weir, who is a director of Wark-based Hutchinson Environmental Solutions, established the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation in 2017, after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
