TEENAGER Kate Smith represented Tynedale Harriers at the England Athletics Indoor Championships.
The Prudhoe youngster performed impressively at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
She earned third place in her 60m hurdles heat, with a personal best time of 9.04s, before finishing seventh in the semi-finals.
The schoolgirl is no stranger to county and national competition, and took part in the English Championships in Bedfordshire last summer.
Meanwhile, hurdler Darren Towart has confirmed that he will be joined by fellow Tynedale Harrier Liam Collins at the World Indoor Championships in Poland, at the end of March.
