A RECENT five-a-side tournament at Hexham’s Wentworth Leisure Centre attracted youngsters from across the North-East.
The event, organised by the Tynedale Mini Soccer League, saw success for Wark Forest in the competition for teams in the U9 and U10 age groups, while Prudhoe Eagles were the U8 victors.
But there was also a strong representation at U7 level, with teams representing Corbridge United, Haydon Bridge United, Hexham Panthers and Santos, Stocksfield Lions and Tigers, and Wark Locomotives.
Throckley Magpies and Kingston Park also had teams which took part in the successful event, which takes place every year.
