WYLAM Rockettes U12 Falcons won their top of the table clash against fellow title challengers West Moor Devils in the Northumberland Girls League.

The 1-0 victory saw Isla Dalby stand out in the heart of defence, while winger and girl of the game Amelie Scott gave the West Moor backline a torrid time.

Rosie Pigg scored the only goal of the game in a well deserved win for the Falcons which consolidated their position at the top of the league table.

Meanwhile Wylam Rockettes U18 United played Cullercoats for the second consecutive week. But after winning the first encounter, they went down 4-3 at home this time around.

Molly Hails grabbed a brace, while Abby Brown also scored for United.

In the Gateshead Youth League, Ponteland Blacks were 5-0 victors over Redheugh Boys Club.

Jamie Grant opened the scoring in the first half, before second half strikes from Ryan Statham, Joseph Nicholson, and two from Tom Parkin wrapped up the game. Man of the match was Thomas Scougall.

In a local derby match between Hexham Whites and Allendale Town, it was visitors Allendale who took the points with goals from Kyran Smith, Carl Baxter, Max Baynes, Archie White, and Tom Bell. Man of the match was full back Sebastian Alderson.
