HALTWHISTLE Jubilee booked their place in the semi-finals of the Northumberland Minor Cup for the second successive year, with an impressive away win over Bedlington FC Seniors.
The 3-2 victory, which included goals from Jack Barker, Greg Irwin, and Kieran Robley, saw them named Team of the Week.
Heddon-on-the-Wall athlete Darren Towart set a new world record in the 400m hurdles.
Competing in the M40 (over 40) category, the Tynedale Harrier ran a time of 60.80s in Sheffield, smashing the previous record of 61.40s.
His emphatic performance saw Towart named Star of the Week.
