ALLENDALE Town U15 suffered defeat at the hands of Newcastle Benfield.
But despite the 4-2 reverse, there were positives to take for the Pin Point Recruitment U15 League side.
Playing at home, Allendale started the game brightly but went behind when Newcastle were awarded a penalty for a foul on their forward.
The away team went on to score three more before half time, while Allendale went close with a string of efforts on goal, but couldn’t find a breakthrough.
In the second half, Archie White scored with a neat finish, lifting the ball over the advancing keeper after a brilliant run through midfield from centre back Jay Jay Mackay, who picked out White with a superb pass.
White scored his second with a well placed shot, but unfortunately for the hosts, Newcastle held on to win and move up to second in the table. Midfielder Ronan Humphrey was man of the match for Allendale.
