WYLAM Rockettes U14 finally played their rescheduled game against New Fordley.
The Northumberland Girls’ League match was originally due to take place in December, but fell victim to frosty weather.
Despite going 1-0 down in the early stages, Wylam soon equalised following an impressive counter attack which was clinically finished by Molly Hails.
The match was a closely contested one, with little between the two teams.
The Rockettes were indebted on several occasions to last some ditch defending and superb blocks from girl of the game Eleanor Rikkerink.
With 10 minutes of the match remaining New Fordley made the decisive breakthrough, and quickly scored again as Wylam pressed for the equaliser, to make the final score 3-1 to New Fordley.
