MICKLEY Social Club are one step away from the final of the President’s Cup after booking their place in the semi-finals.

Goals from man of the match Stefan Rainbow, Scott Fothergill and Bryan Gilmore, as well as an own goal, secured a 4-1 victory over Division Two side Ponteland Village, who had Dan Brookwell on target.

Haltwhistle Railway secured their spot in the final four of the League Cup as they defeated Division One rivals Prudhoe Town by the same scoreline.

Billy Rogan, Jack Barker, Stu Sproul and Lewis Weeks got their goals while Michael Eals was star man, with Town’s man of the match Ste Forster hitting their reply. Haltwhistle will meet Division Two’s Hexham Hearts in the semi-finals after their 2-1 success over Riding Mill.

Nathan Drury and James Yeend got the crucial goals, with Ian Rogerson on target for Mill.

Matty Herdman was named Hearts’s star man, and Phil Robinson impressed for Mill.

The spoils were shared in the only game in Division One as a double from Barrasford’s Marc Nixon was cancelled out by goals from David Findley and Ben Coulson for Crawcrook Fox and Hounds. Craig Stanners starred for Barra and Joe Meadows for Crawcrook.

There is no difference in the league standings as a result of the point apiece as Barrasford remain rooted to the foot of the table and Crawcrook stay fifth but one point ahead of the chasing pack.

Two goals in the final 10 minutes maintained Division Two leaders Ryton Michelangelo’s charge at the top.

Braces from man of the match Liam Garrett and Michael Ritson secured the 4-2 victory over Hexhamshire who had Jonny Hodges and Mark Hodgson on target. Luke Winter was named their man of the match.

Heddon St Andrew’s edged out Rose and Crown Bellingham 2-1 courtesy of strikes from Sean Hownam and Ciaran Porter, and a star display from Connor Ballantyne. James Walby netted for Bellingham and Andy Hall was man of the match.

Crawcrook Social Club won by the odd goal too as they defeated Wylam Black Bull 3-2.

Adam Taylor, Jack Henderson and Micky Bilclough found the back of the net, while David Mitchell was man of the match. For Wylam, Sam Calkin and Nathan Jones scored, and Corey Maclauchlan was star man.
