THE deadline for nominations for this year's Sport Tynedale Awards is fast approaching.
The prestigious annual awards ceremony has been a key date on the district's sporting calendar for 45 years.
It recognises the achievements of amateur sportspeople, with categories for individuals, teams, and coaches.
The deadline for nominations is Tuesday October 30.
This year's ceremony will take place at Hexham's Wentworth Leisure Centre at 6pm on Sunday December 9.
BBC sports commentator John Murray will be this year's guest presenter, while former athlete Allison Curbishley, who is the president of Sports Tynedale, will also play a key role.
