A YOUNG golfer carded his first hole-in-one to win a Beat the Pro competition at his local club.
Zach Willis (13) holed out at the 146-yard 13th hole at Hexham Golf Club on Saturday.
The 24-handicapper was one of many Hexham members who took part in Andy Paisley's Day, a competition hosted every year by club professional Andy Paisley.
As part of the competition, each player was given the opportunity to take on Andy, or one of the club's assistant professionals, at the 13th hole, a testing par 3.
But Zach, who has just left St Joseph's Middle School in Hexham, and will join the town's Queen Elizabeth High School in September, was given a round of applause when his tee shot landed on the green and dropped into the hole, to defeat assistant professional Jonny Richardson.
