A CLASSIC car restorer has been found guilty of ripping off customers in Wylam.
Alan Macintyre, of Kelverdon Avenue, Gosforth, denied four charges of committing fraud by false representation.
Following a trial at Newcastle Crown Court, a jury found the 57-year-old guilty of two of the charges; and not guilty of the other two.
The charges relate to the defendant's involvement with Macintyre's of Gosforth Classic Cars between 2012 and 2015. The firm had premises in Wylam.
The trial, which started on November 27, concluded on Thursday. He will return to court for sentence on February 2 next year.
