WHAT has been dubbed “the happiest Christmas song ever”, has been performed in front of thousands of shoppers by a Prudhoe school choir.
The song, entitled Love’s not just for Christmas, was performed by Prudhoe West Academy’s choir at the Metrocentre earlier this month.
Teacher Katie Gregson set up the choir and is delighted they were asked to perform.
Katie said: “We won the Metrocentre’s Christmas choir of the year last year and they asked us to come back.
“They just love singing, and so do I. It’s what I did before I was a teacher. We’ve been practising every week since September.”
The choir spread the Christmas spirit at other venues as well, singing at Hexham General Hospital and care homes in Prudhoe.
Love’s not just for Christmas is being performed at intu shopping centres across the country.
The choir will attempt to defend its crown when it enters the Metrocentre’s Christmas choir competition 2017.
