A team of nine students from Ponteland High School have made it through to the national session of the European Youth Parliament.
They joined other local schools in the North East Regional Forum in April.
And after presenting speeches and participating in debates, the year 11 pupils from Ponteland were selected to represent the region.
In the national session this summer, the team will be up against schools from across the UK battling it out with their knowledge of key issues in British and European politics.
