If so, why not sign up to take part in a 10-mile walk and at the same time raise money to brighten the lives of young cancer patients.
The Hexham Courant has teamed up with Josie’s Dragonfly Trust to support to special walk to mark the 10th anniversary of the Hexham-based charity.
The 10-mile circular walk, starting and finishing at Hexham Racecourse, takes place on Sunday, September 24.
So now is the time to sign up for the event, and embark on some extra exercise to be in shape for the big day.
The walk on September 24 is open to organisations, individuals and families.
It is the perfect opportunity for a fun family day out, a personal challenge or corporate team-building. And in the process you will be supporting families affected by cancer who have very limited time left together.
Josie’s Dragonfly Trust was founded in 2007 in memory of Josie Grove, shortly after she died aged just 16.
It was set up to support other children and young people with cancer, and create happy memories for them and their families to treasure.
The walk will take in a route on quiet lanes and open countryside through Hexhamshire, south of the racecourse.
