THE River Watch Group has organised a few balsam bashing sessions on Sunday afternoons from 2pm by the picnic area, as well as on Wednesday, July 29, near the football field from 6pm.
This is a very therapeutic activity and every little bit helps, so if you can spare half an hour or a couple of hours, please go along armed with gardening gloves and suitable footwear.
THE Shaftoe Singers will be performing Songs for a Summer Evening at Bardon Mill Village Hall tonight from 7.30pm.
The entry fee will include supper. Tickets may be purchased on the door or from members.
