YOUNGSTERS at Newbrough Primary School will continue to represent Northumbria Police over the next year.
The school has signed up for the force’s mini police scheme for another 12 months.
The initiative enables children to find out more about the role of policing, spend time with officers, and take place in police-related activities.
Headteacher Jo Trotter said: “We had four mini police members last year, who represented the police at the Northumberland County Show, the Pride march in Newcastle, and at the Northumbria Police hate crime roadshow at Hexham Abbey.
“Now some of our current Year 5 pupils have joined the scheme, and are looking forward to getting involved.”
Police officers and vehicles visited Newbrough Primary on Wednesday, to spend time with pupils.
