56 new Coronavirus cases have been recorded in Northumberland over the last 24-hour period.
Government statistics show that with this increase, there have now been 18,260 cases since last March.
Despite the rise in cases, Public Health England figures indicate that there have been zero covid-related deaths in Northumbria NHS Trust Hospitals.
In our region, there are seven wards which appear on the county’s worst affected list. Prudhoe South is ranked highest with twelve confirmed cases in the last seven-day period.
Following on from that is Hexham Central and Acomb with nine cases, Prudhoe North with eight cases, and Hexham West with seven.
Ponteland North, Ponteland West, and Bywell have all recorded five positive cases over the last seven days.
Over 21s have now been invited to book their Covid-19 jab.
