54 new cases of coronavirus have been identified in Northumberland within the latest 24-hour period.
The latest daily statistics released by the government show that a total of 18,091 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed within the region since the pandemic began last March.
This daily figure is down slightly compared to yesterday’s stats, which saw 67 cases having been confirmed in the county.
In Northumberland, a total of 23 wards currently have more than five cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed within the latest seven-day period.
In our region, currently Prudhoe South has the most cases of Covid-19 with eight followed by Prudhoe North who currently have seven.
Corbridge also has seven while Hexham Central with Acomb – who weren’t on the list 24 hours ago – now do appear with five cases of Covid cases having been confirmed within the latest seven-day period.
Over 40 million people in the UK have now had their first vaccination against coronavirus.
