REMEMBRANCE day is on Sunday, and Corbridge like every other community will remember those who lost their lives in the two world wars and conflicts since.

A civic service of Remembrance will take place at St Andrew’s Church at 10.50am.

The traditional march to the service will start at the Corstopitum Social Club at 10.20am, with those taking part requested to be there by 10.05am.

CORBRIDGE has been shocked in the past week by another two burglaries.

Northumbria Police have had extra officers out asking questions and giving out crime prevention information and advising residents to report any suspicious activity.

THERE is a consultation day in the parish hall on Thursday, November 12, from 2pm until 7pm, to discuss Northumberland County Council’s core strategy document which earmarks 300 houses for Corbridge.

Planning officers will be on hand to answer residents’ questions. There is also a version of the document on the county council’s website and comments can be made until Wednesday, November 25.

YOU may remember I mentioned last week that Gladman developments had submitted amended plans for their application at Milkwell.

If you wish to comment please do so. You can view the plans online or at Hadrian House, Market Street, Hexham under the application number 15/00381/OUTES.

CORBRIDGE Film night will take place on Sunday, November 15, with a showing of Timbuktu in the parish hall starting at 7.30pm.

THE Corbridge Youth Initiative holds a Christmas fair on Saturday, November 21, in the parish hall from 10am until 2pm.
