A FUN-FILLED day of rugby and entertainment will return to Corbridge.
The local community is set to turn out in force again to support Stu’s Super Saturday, organised in memory of Tynedale farmer and rugby player Stu Ridley.
The 25-year-old’s bravery while fighting a deadly brain tumour in 2015 inspired many, and his legacy carries on through the fund-raising days, which will see thousands head to Tynedale Rugby Club, in Corbridge, on May 6.
Gates open at 1pm. An afternoon of sport will start with a touch rugby exhibition. Games between Tynedale’s veterans and an invitational XV and farmers versus academicals will follow.
There will be also be live music, children’s entertainment and a disco in the evening.
