Most of the required £1.6m has been secured for the project to transform the disused Weslyan Methodist Chapel into a visitor centre, cafe and shop, thanks to support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and other sources.
But to help secure a second round grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, scheme leaders must raise 10 per cent of the remaining £74,000 in match funding.
An online campaign has been launched to try to raise at least £4,000, which includes a short film about the project. For more information visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/nentheadchapel before October 6.
