Unlimited vet visits are being launched under a new pet healthcare plan in Ponteland.
Alnorthumbria Vets is launching the Healthy Pet Club Advanced, which offers unlimited consultations with vets and nurses, including routine and urgent care, vaccinations, parasite protection and annual health checks.
The plan aims to remove the hesitation that often causes owners to delay seeking treatment for their pets.
Lizzie McLennan Green, veterinary director at CVS Vets, which includes Alnorthumbria Veterinary Centre – Ponteland, said: "We know that for many owners, there's often a moment of hesitation before booking a consultation.
"That's completely understandable, but it can sometimes mean pets are seen later than we would recommend."
Research commissioned by CVS Vets found that 24 per cent of pet owners delayed booking a vet appointment in the past year due to financial pressures, with 70 per cent turning to the internet for advice instead.
The new plan expands on Alnorthumbria Vets’ existing Care Plan by adding unlimited consultations to help owners make timely decisions about their pets’ health.
Monthly costs for the plan are £34.99 for dogs, £29.99 for cats and £24.99 for rabbits.
