A new two-acre dog field has opened for private hire in the centre of town.

West Causey Walkies offers more than two acres of space in 'the heart of Hexham', Northumberland, with secure parking, six-foot fencing with anti-dig netting, and on-site water.

It also features jumps, tunnels, and other obstacles for dogs to explore, at the site on West Causey Hill Way.

The website said: "Fully fenced to 6ft high and with anti-dig netting, it allows you to exercise, train and play with your four-legged friend without worry of them escaping or interference from other dogs.

"An enclosure of over two acres it is ideal for private exercise, practising recall, giving anxious dogs a safe space or just having fun over the jumps and through tunnels. The car parking area is located within the enclosure, allowing you full peace of mind from start to finish."

The field is available by appointment only.

Dog owners can book their visit online at www.westcauseywalkies.co.uk.
