Meet the new animal photographer based in Northumberland

Specialising in equine and canine photography, Elliott Ivison, who is originally from Whitley Bay but now lives in Haydon Bridge, is offering bespoke animal photography right here in the Tyne Valley.

Elliott, 23, said: "I've always had a passion for photography, ever since I was little. My dad has a diploma in photography, so he's always had quite a nice camera.

"I learnt a lot from him, and then I ended up getting a camera. I've taken photos for myself, family, and friends, and I thought 'everyone loves a photo', so I might as well see if I can try and make those memories for other people as well."

Although the animal lover will predominantly be working on animal-related photography, they have said that they plan to branch out into other specialisms once they're settled in.

Some examples of Elliott's photography. (Image: Elliott Ivison) "I'll be open to doing different types of photography once I get my confidence up. The reason I haven't started earlier is that I've got massive impostor syndrome, so I think I just need to work through that first. 

The photographer, who currently works at a horse retirement home, will just start by offering one package to begin with, which will be £55 for an hour's shoot and 10 high-quality, digital images.

"From there on, I'm looking to make different packages for equine, canine, and then if there's any demand for other services, I would look into that as well", said Elliott.
