WE asked our readers which restaurant they would like to open in Hexham. Here's what they said.
Thai restaurant
Several readers said they would like to see a Thai restaurant open in the town. Rachel Slater Ladd said: "I’d love a Thai or Vietnamese restaurant in Hexham," and Bridget Wigham and Lyn Murray agreed.
Sharyn Castelow said: "A good Thai would be lovely."
Angie Wanless added: "Definitely Thai or Vietnamese, would be lovely."
Steakhouse
Steakhouse restaurants were mentioned by Makem Fasteur and Andy Maylett, who said: "A steakhouse that only serves meat that’s sourced locally."

Pancake house
Jane Curry suggested a waffle house, while Di Hewitson said she'd like to see an International House of Pancakes - IHOP chain open in town.
Jen Lambert-Knowles voted for a crêperie.
Traditional British restaurant
Caroline Watson said: "A Thai would be good. Otherwise, a restaurant serving traditional British food made from local produce, particularly Northumbrian beef and lamb. Plenty of meat."
Italian
Richard Fenn wanted to see a good quality Italian restaurant open in Hexham.
Burger King or KFC
Kevin Leonard, Michael Tulip and Dave Nattrass voted for a Burger King or KFC.
Pizza Hut
Hayley Ellen Watson and Richard Pearson chose the restaurant chain Pizza Hut.
New York-style pizza by the slice
Chris Kelly suggested a restaurant which offers New York-style pizza by the slice, which Chris Hudson agreed with.
Japanese or Korean
David Aitken-Cartner said: "Would love Japan or Korean."
Bagel shop
Chris Hudson said: "A place where I can get fresh bagels."
International
Edwina Perkins said: "An interesting one that is not a chain and uses recipes all over the world. Would be a new take for Hexham."
Andrew David Robson said: "A French, Thai, Vietnamese, Russian, Greek, Portuguese, German, Spanish, Indian or an Italian restaurant would be really good to have in Hexham. Rather than eating English food all the time, why not try out some meals made in other countries to have in our country?"
Nando's
Emma Potts Watson chose the South African chain Nando's, which specialises in Portuguese flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken.
Wagamama
Megan Charlton picked the chain Wagamama, which serves Asian food based on Japanese cuisine.
