Young filmmakers showcased their talent at a free screening event in Hexham.
The Filmmakers' Party, held on Saturday, September 14, at Forum Cinema Hexham, featured 13 films chosen from more than 20 submissions by a group of young film enthusiasts.
The event, organised in collaboration with Heritage Open Days, New Wave, was coordinated by Millie Shafiee, who made a call-out across the North East for submissions.
The selected short films ranged from the Allendale Tar Barls to a bus trip to the coast, a haunted house, and a film emphasising the importance of supporting independent cinemas.
The day featured young artists selling their work and saw free refreshments, cake and party bags.
There was a 'large and fabulous' audience who appreciated the opportunity to 'see such talent'.
