A poet is set to perform at the site of the Sycamore Gap tree on the first anniversary of its felling.
Kate Fox will read her poems dedicated to the tree, its legacy, and its future at the tree stump at Hadrian’s Wall on September 27, 2024.
Her poems are now published in a book titled 'On Sycamore Gap' which marks the anniversary of the tree's felling.
The book is a tribute to the famous silhouette of the tree that stood at Sycamore Gap.
It is for all who took shelter under its branches, heard its leaves dance, enjoyed picnics beside it, or felt a sense of loss when the gap was just a gap once more.
Ms Fox who lives in Whitley Bay. is a stand-up poet who has been a radio journalist, a newspaper columnist, and writes and campaigns about neurodiversity alongside her poetry and touring.
