Matfen Hall has been recognised as one of the top boutique hotels in the UK.
The luxury hotel and country estate has been shortlisted in the 'Boutique Hotel of the Year' category by the Boutique Hotelier Awards.
This nomination follows Matfen Hall receiving an AA five-star rating, making it the 'first and only' five-star hotel in Northumberland.
The hotel, set across 300 acres, recently underwent a multi-million pound renovation.
It offers 63 rooms, including luxury suites and classic rooms, and has six dining and drinking areas.
The nomination comes shortly after the reopening of the refurbished golf clubhouse and restaurant, The Keepers, which overlooks the hotel's 27-hole championship golf course.
Owned by the Walwick Estate Group, Matfen Hall has seen significant investment in all areas, including leisure and golf facilities, as well as the spa and wellness area.
Matfen Hall is one of eight properties across the UK and Ireland to be shortlisted for the award.
The winner will be decided through a voting process.
