More than £8,500 has been raised at a charity golf day to help families affected by cancer in the North East.
The Northumberland Estates’ Charity Golf Day brought together golf enthusiasts at Alnwick Castle Golf Club on June 7.
In addition to enjoying rounds at one of Northumberland's most beautiful courses, golfers supported Maggie's, which is a charity helping families confront cancer challenges.
A spokesman for Northumberland Estates said: "The charity golf day was a great success thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved.
"Throughout the year, we look forward to working with Maggie's on other fundraising events and are proud to support the charity’s work."
The raised funds will allow the Maggie's North East centre to provide essential services.
Karen Verrill, centre head at Maggie’s Newcastle, added: "We're over-the-moon to be Northumberland Estates’ charity this year. Thank you to everyone who made the golf day so successful."
