The charity behind the Social Worker of the Year Awards is searching for top-tier social workers in the North East.
It encourages the public to nominate deserving social workers from Northumberland for the free-to-enter awards, recognising those who have made significant positive contributions to their community.
The awards, scheduled for November, are split into 18 different categories, with the addition of two new ones for 2024: ‘Technology-Enabled Lives and Innovation in Practice Award’ and ‘Practitioner-led Research Award’.
Peter Hay CBE, chair of the board of trustees for the Social Work Awards charity, said: “In the current climate, it is more important than ever that we come together to recognise great practice and great people in the field of social work.
“If you have been supported by a social worker, who has gone above and beyond the call of duty, why not nominate them for an award and help them receive the recognition they deserve.”
Submit a nomination by June 3 at www.socialworkawards.com.
