WILTSHIRE Council has disclosed more details of the road closures that could lead to traffic delays in Trowbridge town centre next month.

Starting on May 13, work will begin on the second phase of improvement works that will affect access to Castle Street, Fore Street and Wicker Hill.

The aim is to make the town’s public spaces even better by upgrading streets and pavements to improve access for pedestrians and cyclists.

The council said: “To make sure everyone stays safe and to keep things moving smoothly, Wiltshire Council will be closing some roads and setting up some restrictions around the work areas.

“The planned work will continue until September 1, 2024, depending on weather conditions.

“You need to get where you’re going, so access to homes and businesses will remain where possible. Just keep in mind that there might be some delays.”

The road closures will affect part of Castle Street from its junction with Market Street to its junction with Fore Street; part of Fore Street from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Wicker Hill; and part of Wicker Hill from its junction with Fore Street to its junction with Hill Street.
