BBC radio programme "Any Questions" was hosted at Hexham Abbey on March 1.
The event was attended by veteran Labour MP Hilary Benn, who later met members of Hexham Constituency Labour Party.
Audience members posed questions on a range of topical issues.
Mr. Benn found the event engaging. He said: "It was a fantastic evening with some interesting questions to the panel."
He further acknowledged the robust presence of local Labour Party members, including Cllr Angie Scott, and voiced his support for their endeavour, stating: "I wish them well in their campaign for a change of MP in Hexham Constituency."
Cllr Angie Scott, representative for Prudhoe North, echoed Mr. Benn's views, adding her own insights.
She said: "It was lovely to meet Hilary Benn.
"He gave some great answers."
On the audience, she said: "You will see from the reaction of the audience to some of the answers from the panel members, that there is an appetite for change."
